Rossburn Subdivision Trail / Commercial

On a bright and windy day I met with some fine folks in Erickson, Manitoba at the Rossburn Subdivision Trail for the inaugural walk (and I also had to run to get the best photos) of the 4.5 km storybook trail - thanking myself for having the good sense to wear my running shoes!

This was no ordinary walk or bike ride, featuring accessible and legible boards all along the way telling a story that changes with the seasons - so you and your family can never get bored. 

Kids and adults alike joined in on the storybook trail hike, accompanied by a couple of their dogs who were super well behaved! At the end of the hike there were so many free giveaways and a BBQ complete with smokies and cake, handed out by some amazingly helpful kids.

After the BBQ we walked just a little bit farther down to the water tower - where there was a beautiful newly constructed pavilion, complete with picnic tables, seating and historical signage. The ribbon was cut, the speeches were made - and that was the end to a perfect day on the Rossburn Subdivision Trail.

I really enjoyed photographing this event, getting out and meeting some great people on such a gorgeous day. I am so grateful for the opportunity and I hope I get a chance to get out and photograph another event in Erickson someday! xoxo
